In the fall, you will finally be able to play Okami, a game which is inspired by Japanese Art and Mythology. With full support of the PlayStation Move or Dual Analog controls, players can delve into the adventures of Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess.

Okami HD will be $19.99 so if you missed it either on the PS2 or Wii, now’s the chance to try this critical darling. If you’ve never heard of Okami before, the game plays like Zelda: Twilight Princess’ wolf segments but with a fully fledged combo system and various weapons to choose from. The player can also interact with the game’s world via the “Celestial Brush” which allows he/she to change the environment. An example would be cutting a tree or summoning the Sun to your area. The brush can also be used in combat to swipe enemies with a slash of paint. The game is a feast for the eyes and the fantastic music will delight your ears. The soundtrack of Okami is a set of spine chillingly good orchestral masterpieces and the visual style is unique but beautiful to look at with its paint brushed look. Okami HD is a great idea from Capcom because it initially sold terribly and many games like Beyond Good and Evil and Shadow of the Colossus were also in the same position but they are now able to be released digitally to receive a larger net gain for the product. It is wonderful to play these games in HD and also know that many gamers who have missed out on these classics the first time will be able to play them. Okami HD will be coming to the PlayStation Network for $19.99 during the Fall of this year. Check out the trailer below provided by the PlayStation Blog.
