Tell Tale Games have had one hell of a year with multiple awards across the board including the coveted Game of the Year. 2012 was unprecedented because The Walking Dead is a PlayStation Network title; this shows that AAA games are not the only ones applicable for the award. Journey, another indie game which was a Game of The Year nominee as well, also received Best Independent Game and Best Original Score. What is most surprising however is that Assassin’s Creed III did not win any awards at all and was completely flushed out so perhaps Ubisoft may be going back to the drawing board for the future of Assassin’s Creed.

The trailers from the Spike Video Game Awards also shocked many people with the fascinating reveal from Konami called The Phantom Pain, which many are hinting towards Metal Gear Solid 5. Another new reveal from the VGA’s of 2012 is Dark Souls II but no gameplay was shown during the trailer (it was only CG).  The trailer which will be thrilling to many fans of PlayStation however, is The Last of Us, which shows new locations, characters and gameplay of Naughty Dog’s upcoming game. These and many more new trailers are shown on GameTrailers.com including BioShock Infinite (which I’m having a media blackout of right now), Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and South Park: The Stick of Truth (plus more) so check them out! Come back here to check out our analysis on every trailer shown at the Spike Video Game Awards of 2012 during Level 18 of the PlayStation Euphoria Cast!

For the past year, I have been writing for PlayStation Euphoria as Editor of the website. Five years ago, I moved from England to Canada in search for a new way of living. A lot changed but my love for gaming hasn't. Ever since playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis as a kid, I have played games almost daily. When I read my first gaming magazine, I knew becoming a journalist is something I want to do. At the age of 10, I used to create my own one page publication every month and share it with my friends and teachers. It's funny, now thinking about it, because I used to rate games HOT or NOT in red and blue bold font. Ever since then, I have written articles for various websites and now I have a great family of writers with me here at PlayStation Euphoria.
