Recently, a rumor had spread stating that future Downloadable Content for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will not be seeing the light of day. The rumor is based on a cancellation of planned DLC for the character Abe from the PlayStation classic, Abe’s Oddssey. Recent tweet’s however, indicated that while SuperBot isn’t involved with All-Stars anymore does not mean that the game won’t be supported post Kat and Emmett. Here are a couple of tweets between fans, Santa Monica, and SuperBot.
@bunnyhiro @superbotent We’re exploring opportunities to support #PSAllStars & workin a plan to provide additional DLC content in the future

@al3ubble We aren’t, but there’s still DLC we made that you haven’t seen yet!

So with the question of cancelled DLC being out of the picture for All-Stars, it doesn’t seem like Santa Monica would want to disrupt the fan base it has grown since release. Santa Monica could prove that the studio has what it takes to keep All-Stars a float for fans.
