Okay Plus members, Sony is making your purchase of Playstation Plus even more worthwhile tomorrow by offering cloud storage for your game saves! with Playstation Update v3.06 you will see a new function for plus members that will allow gamers to back up their saves so they can play their PS3 games right where they left off on any other PS3.
Susan Panico, Senior director of the Playstation Network said this in her PS.Blog Post:
“The new online storage feature allows gamers to store up to 150MB of game save data and a maximum of 1000 data files per PSN account. Users also have the ability to back-up “copy-prohibited save data,” and all previously saved data may be restored once per 24 hour period. When the new feature launches, most PS3 titles will be compatible with online storage for game saves, and moving forward, all new titles will have the capability to offer the storage option.”
This is great for families that own multiple PS3′s for instance, Say I am playing Skyrim in my room and suddenly the big screen in the living room is freed up, instead of packing up my PS3 and moving it to the living room I can just take the disc and pop it in the other PS3 and since my save data can be backed up to the cloud its just a matter of uploading and downloading my save data. This is just one example of what this could feature can do so if this is something your excited about please post in our comment section below!
