I haven’t really heard a lot myself about this JRPG “Ni No Kuni”, which is said to be a collaboration between powerhouse Level- 5 and also one of the most recognizable animation experts in Japan, Studio Ghibli. Just from what I’ve seen from the trailer, it definitely looks like something to pull you into visually and story wise. Unfortunately we won’t be getting the chance to play the game anytime soon since it’s recent delay.
It was originally scheduled to be appear later this year, but publishers Namco Bandai have pushed back it’s release to sometime in 2013. So we should expect to see it around the same time as the European release date in early 2013.
Namco Bandai has cited that the reason for the pushback, was purely based on seeing how western fans would react to it.
For anybody expecting to see this title out this winter, I’m sorry to give the bad news but I hope it only raises your anticipation and expectations in the end. I myself am definitely interested to see this game in action first hand, but I’m blown away visually and it’s hard not to be since I’m already a fan of the animation studio who worked on it. I’ll keep you posted for anybody who’s interested in possibly checking this one out.
