Dead Nation has done something really creative with zombies, and for all the fans of this title, have we got some good news for you. Now I am just going to say that this was the last thing I expected to see, kind of a shocker, but Housemarque has been hard at work creating a new downloadable expansion called “Road of Devastation” Now for those of you who don’t know, there have been over 11,700,000,000 zombies killed worldwide. Now that’s an insane number of zombies, more than 1.5 times the worlds population to be exact. I think the truth is, people just love killing zombies when it all comes down to it, I know I do and there’s more to come.
Here’s what Petteri Putkonen over at the PS.Blog had to say on the details of the DLC:
“From the ashes of the apocalypse, an organization has worked in the shadows, tampering with the human gene, modifying and improving upon it to create the perfect soldier, the ultimate zombie-killing machine – you! Continuing from the events where the original game left off (or, is it actually the other way around…), Road of Devastation will put your skills to the ultimate test. You’ll find yourself waking up in a laboratory with only one way out. Outside the door you’re presented with a choice – a crossroads leading to three different paths, each with their own unique environments, challenges and enemies waiting for you. If you manage to overcome the challenges, just when you think it’s over, you’ll make a startling revelation…”
“In addition to the range of enemies and weapons you’re already familiar with from the original game, Road of Devastation will present you with a variety of new tools of destruction and equipment to dispose of enemies with, while also introducing new enemies and obstacles throughout unique new environments.”
So far thats all that has been said about the DLC, but I’m sure we will see some more about it soon. I’m just glad to see a game as great as this still being supported after so long. I can’t wait to see some more information on this new DLC, and until then we shall try to keep you guys posted and up to date on things.
