It was just announced at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) that 3 new Map Packs are on their way to the Battlefield. Not only are we getting three new map packs, but even greater news for the console gamer’s is the addition of creating private games for you and your buddies to play in.
The first of the DLC Map Packs is called “Close Quarters” which is set to appear in June. “Close Quarters” will include four new maps, which are said to be very melee friendly and have way more detail in the destruction of inanimate objects . With that idea in hand, there will be tons of more ways to expose your enemy behind cover and you can expect way more intense action. Supposedly it’s also set up to have more vertical firefights, which could possibly be balcony to balcony.
The second set of DLC is called “Armored Kill” and is set to focus on vehicular warfare in some big wide open maps. Things to look out for are new tanks, ATV’s, and mobile artillery, it also will include one of the biggest maps recorded in Battlefield history. Now this my friends, I’m excited to see with my very own eyes when it releases sometime this fall.
The very last map pack called “End Game” is still pretty top secret and not much has been said on it’s behalf. What we do know for now is it will be released sometime this winter.
We will do out best to keep you guys posted on any further updates on DLC, but for now how excited are you to play some new maps in BF3?
